Specializations
ZooarcheaologyResearch Background
My research focuses on exploring human-animal relationships in the prehistory and early history of SW Asia, especially Turkey. I am interested in the deep histories of livestock species, their co-evolutionary relationships with human communities, as well as the social and ecological contexts of hunting. I explore these interests through the methods of zooarchaeology primarily in the Republic of Turkey.
