Ariana Avila was awarded a Wenner-Gren Fieldwork Grant, is presenting at the International Creole Day Celebration virtual event hosted by Duke on October 28th and is serving as a panelist on the Race, Racism, and Racial Equity (R3) Symposium hosted by UNC on November 3rd.
Sierra Roark was awarded a Maynard Adams Fellowship for the Public Humanities
Colleen Betti has received the Timothy P. Mooney Travel Award for the SHA 2023 conference
Cayla Colclasure has received the Cannetti-King Lisbon Student Travel Awards for the SHA 2023 Conference
