Anthropology professor emerita Kaja Finkler will share stories from her memoir Lives Lived and Lost: East European History Before, During and After World War II as Experienced by an Anthropologist and Her Mother as the speaker for the Carolina Center for Jewish Studies’ observance of Holocaust Remembrance Day. The talk begins at 5:30 p.m. in Dey Hall. A moving narrative of separation, longing, loss and fortitude, this talk will provide a brief, yet powerful, glimpse into the lives of those who lived.
