Research Interests

Cultural heritage preservation, museum anthropology, illicit antiquities trade, repatriation, provenance research, tourism, Cambodia, Southeast Asia, postcolonialism, international development.

Research Background

My research explores the concept of cultural heritage by looking at its loss through the illicit antiquities trade and temple looting in Cambodia. I specifically explore provenance research and repatriation as methods of understanding the dimensions of value embodied by artifacts of contested ownership.
