At the AAA meetings in Wash., D.C., Angela Stuesse received the 2017 Society for Latin American and Caribbean Anthropology (SLACA) Book Award. Professor Stuesse was also mentioned in the credits of this week’s This American Life about poultry’s recruitment of new Latinx immigrants to the rural South, for which she consulted.

Dr. Angela Stuesse also received a 2018 Junior Faculty Development Award.

Graduate student, Molly Green, now in Colombia on a Fulbright, has received a UNC Off-campus Dissertation Fellowship to extend her research on gender, climate change, and food sovereignty.
