Research & Activities:
My research mainly addresses the ways religion intersect with other social identities and realms of practice. My dissertation examines individual and collective religious identities and practices in an independent pentecostal church in the American South. Other research has addressed the Christian Identity movement among American white supremacists, religious narratives of disability among mothers of children with an inherited genetic disorder, and research participants' views on genetics and genetic research.
