Research & Activities:

Entered the program in 2003.

Education: BA Anthropology, Northwestern University, 2000

Research Interests: My interests are in processes of cultural identity construction, performance and renegotiation, particularly in times and places of dramatic changes in resource availability. I am currently interested in the ways in which aboriginal peoples reconstruct collective cultural identities through participation as activists in struggles for land and natural resource rights. Previous research has focused on identity production and cultural change in urban environments.
