Indigeneity and Native American identity in the U.S. Southeast; memory, history, race; social binaries; historical erasure; “genocide” and “removal” as concepts in U.S. history; relationship between postmodernism and postcolonialism

 

The goal of my research is to contextualize (in new and refreshing ways) the relationship between Native Americans (or "Indigeneity") and the "Modern Era" in the United States.
