Research & Activities:

Education: Doctoraal (MA equivalent) Cultural Anthropology, Universiteit Utrecht, the Netherlands, 1997; BA Anthropology with a specialization in Archaeology, University of Florida, 1991.

Dissertation Research: My dissertation research contextualizes land preservation movements in the Netherlands, namely in the Randstad and Green Heart region, within a framework of historical, aesthetic, literary and socio-cultural analysis. Specifically, the research examines how the struggle to preserve and maintain particular landscapes relates to past and present perceptions, conceptions and experiences of everyday landscapes.
