At the 2015 Doctoral Hooding Ceremony, Dr. Vin Steponaitis was awarded the 2015 Faculty Award for Excellence in Doctoral Mentoring. His nomination for the award came from current and former graduate students who touted his generosity, his guidance, and his encouragement. Dr. Steponaitis has been with the University, the Department of Anthropology, and the Research Laboratories of Archaeology since 1988 and has mentored over 20 students since then.
