Molly Greene was award a Fulbright to support her research on gender, civilc society and climate change in Colombia.

Liz Berger has been offered a 2-year post-doc in the Center for Chinese Studies at the University of Michigan.

Tricia McAnany and Ben Arbuckle received $5000 grant from the Center for Faculty Excellence for a Large Course Redesign of ANTH 123 Habitat and Humanity.

Colin Thor West was awarded a UNC African Studies Center Faculty Research Award for fieldwork in Burkina Faso this summer ($2,000); a UNC APPLES Service Learning Course Development Grant for Anth/ENEC 237 Food, Environment and Sustainability ($5,000), while his student student Lisa Fouladbash (Ecology – but takes many Anthro courses) was awarded a West Africa Research Association (WARA) pre-dissertation fieldwork award ($6,000) and a UNC Mingma Norbu Sherpa Fellowship ($1,250).
